Oil for Nadine

The last time I painted something with oil was 10 years ago. Back then I was amazed by the intensity of the colour... and the time the paint took to dry. What a different way to paint.

I was absolutely obsessed with it but I can't recall why I didn't do it in the last 10 years. Maybe oil was much more inconvenient that digital painting. Maybe it was more dirty.
Nevertheless, I started painting with Oil again and I realize that I can still paint a bit, but I have a lot more to learn.

scene 1

rough city 2

let's call it done. as it obviously isn't. but I kind of felt like losing myself in this picture.
I'm thinking of making a story out of this one. might be fun. I also have time to practice a bit on digital painting.

work: taste of japan

I used to hate Illustrator. Creating something with Illustrator always looked one dimensional and the pieces never turned out how I imagined them to be. Moreover, I didn't enjoy drawing technical illustrations.
However, having connected the dots I feel like I improved in the past three years in vector arts and illustration rather than in digital painting. Plus, it turned out to be fun. A lot of fun.

Project time

I'm currently working on a project with a friend of mine. Can not show the unblured picture though, because that will cost me my head. hehehehehe but this one one is a screenshot on how it propably will look like.
Hope this will go well...  I've already invested a ridiculous amount of time in it. :D yesyesyes...

christmas "head banging on the table" magic

So, what happens if you get a task to modify a picture under the following conditions?
- create a "christmas glow" over the picture
- use the picture below
- do not dare to make it look cheap
- the gift boxes should be well seeing
- the highlight are the boxes, not the tree

yeah, you kind of try to do your best...

work: Swiss watch

I just held a CHF 95'000.- watch. OMG.. lucky me it didn't break.
Don't like the shadow on the left, though. We definitely need to buy a new camera.
